Don Valley Brickworks....

I am the Business Development & Community Relations Director at Mosaic Home Care Services and Community Resource Centre.  I set up Mosaic with my business partner, Nathalie Anderson in 2010.

I have been in the homecare industry 13 years and have worked for two well known home care organizations prior to Mosaic.

I am dedicated towards developing awareness of home and health care issues in the community and to developing relations between healthcare professionals, homecare providers, non-profit agencies and other important service providers that are needed to provide the wider levels of support often required by those in need in the community.

I have been an active member of the North York Elder Abuse Network for 10 years, of which I was co-chair for four years.  I have also served as co-chair for two years on the TIPS (The Integrated Partnership for Seniors).  TIPS is a venture between non-profit agencies and for profit companies operating in the elderly and homecare services industry to provide awareness and education of services available in the community.

My passion for the community started at a young age and was strongly influenced by my parents who were active in developing, through the local school facilities, programs and other events; basketball, children’s craft programs, ballet, exercise programs for all ages, many other social activities.  Our small neighbourhood group provided shows and plays for the nursing home at Yonge and Cummer.

Later in life my work in the community developed into working with a number of different organizations: Parks and Recreation, YMCA and YWCA, The Community Libraries and others.  I subsequently embraced community awareness into my work in the homecare industry.
