Rogers Bulletin Board: an up and coming stroll through some of Toronto’s finest murals with Nathalie Prezeau and “Staying Young the Fun Way”..
The Rogers Bulletin Board is a half hour community television that “connects York Region residents to information about special events, fundraisers and non-profit organizations”.
Lisa as always makes appearing on TV so easy, guiding you through what can be a nervous moment with the right question at the right time. So here I was, again, to discuss some of the up and coming community programs and events that we (Mosaic Homecare Services) host at the Mosaic Community Resource Centre and around the GTA. And yes, I did give my blog a few seconds of fame!
An Urban Stroll with Nathalie Prezeau:
Lisa got to some key points with one of our most sought after events, an urban stroll with an “urban legend”, the famous Author Nathalie Prezeau (of “Toronto Urban Strolls for Girlfriends 1 and 2”, and other books, fame).
Nathalie Prezeau will lead those lucky enough to book a place on the 11 October event through a kaleidoscope of what are probably some of the world’s best murals. One of the artist’s whose work we will be seeing on the walk is John Kuna. John Kuna painted most of the amazing murals gracing the walls along Dundas Street West. So, if you want to meet Nathalie, see how Jon Kuna has turned Islington Village into an outdoor gallery and stop off at the Victorian Garden Tea Room for the amazingly ridiculous price of $15, please contact Mosaic on 905-597-7000! This really is a gem of a day with a truly interesting, “in real life”, author.
And to top it all off, a “Petite lunch” will be provided at the Gibson Retirement Residence.

I also got a chance to talk about another exciting event that we will be hosting at our Mosaic Community Resource Centre: “Staying Young the Fun Way!”, as opposed to, the more life affirming options already on offer.
This will be an interactive presentation that will address activity as a practical and fun way of keeping youthful. This is meant to be a fun event with lots of interesting facts. Hopefully people will come away reinvigorated and motivated to become more active.
