On behalf of Jane, Nathalie and the entire team, we would like to wish you a Happy and Healthy New Year.
In the dying embers of 2013 Toronto certainly had quite the ice storm. The city looked like a film set from Dr. Zhivago. Many families, young and old, had to survive with no heat or food and many trees were damaged. Hopefully communities around the GTA are now getting back to normal.
The Mosaic marketing team has continued to provide a number of varied and interesting events at its Community Resource Centre. We are particularly proud of the raft of events we have lined up for the next two months:
A “Brain Boosting Boogie” with a number of Brain-Boosting Games.
An Inspirational chat by Dr. Timothy Starr, author of the book Aging Challenges.
The Dotsa Bitove Wellness Academy and its art-based wellness program – this event is for both professionals and families/individuals.
We continue to host, with the Alzheimer Society York Region, the First Link® Memory Program for those who have been diagnosed with early signs of Alzheimer and Dementia and their family members.
We also have a presentation from the Royal Ontario Museum Outreach Team (Let the Ancient World come alive!) which will be followed up by a Mosaic community visit to the ROM (No charge for this event) for a specialized program on the Middle Ages.
For more information on all our events visit our website events section http://www.mosaichomecare.com/
Mosaic continues to provide its many services to the community, whether at home, in the hospital, retirement home or long-term care facility.
We provide nursing, personal support, foot care (at home and in our resource centre), grocery shopping, companionship, meal preparation and help for those moving into a retirement or long-term care facility.
