Parkinson Canada visit Wednesday January 13 2016

January 14, 2016 in Mosaic Updates |

Mosaic was excited to have Sandy Jones and Robert Ter Steege from Parkinson Canada drop into our corporate office at the Shops on Steeles and 404 (Markham) for a tour of our space.

Sandy and Robert toured our corporate office, meeting our client services team, learning about Mosaic’s services, and visiting our Community Resource Centre. After the tour, they both joined Jane and the marketing team for a lunch in the Resource Centre.

Formerly the Parkinson Society of Canada, Parkinson Canada has been the national voice for Canadians living with Parkinson’s disease since 1965. Since being founded Parkinson Canada has been guiding Canadians through four important areas of research, education, advocacy and support. There are a number of ways that Parkinson Canada supports individuals with Parkinson’s. If you need to contact Parkinson Canada you can email them at info@parkinson.ca or call at 1 – 800 – 565 – 3000.

If you are looking for information on Parkinson ’s disease you can stop by one of Mosaic’s Community Resource Centre’s where we have information from Parkinson Canada available to the Community. We also host a number of events, including our Winter Nordixx Pole Walking Club that can have benefits for people with Parkinson’s. We were very excited to have met with Sandy and Robert from Parkinson Canada discussing the benefits of working together in the community, and providing support to individuals with Parkinson’s disease, and the community at large!
