July 12, 2015 in Events |

This summer, Toronto will host the Pan American and Parapan American Games in July and August. The games, held every 4 years in the year preceding the Summer Olympics, brings together athletes from 41 nations across North American, South American, and Central American to compete. The Pan American Games is the world’s third largest multi-sport games, only surpassed by the Olympic Summer Games and the Asian Games in size and scope. A relatively new sporting event, the first Pan American Games were held in 1951 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The first Parapan Am Games were held in Mexico City, nearly 50 years later in 1999. This will be the first time since 1999 that a Canadian city will be hosting the games.

The Pan Am, and Parapan Am games that will be hosted in our city of Toronto is a great opportunity to enjoy to enjoy sports, meet people from different parts of the world, as well as the festive spirit that comes with large sporting events. People from across the America’s will come to visit our city during the games. The atmosphere of the city during the games will be unique and festive. You can find the information on the 2015 Toronto Pan Am games here. Ticket information can be found here, which will open up again in mid-April. Looking forward to the amazing atmosphere during this summer with the games!
