Come Walk with Mosaic & Author Nathalie Prezeau

Mosaic is excited to have the author of Toronto Urban Strolls 1 & 2, Nathalie Prezeau, in our Toronto Office at the CNIB Friday, April 28th, 2017! Nathalie will captivate attendees with an amazing presentation that will shed light on the many wonderful walking routes, neighbourhoods and cafes around the city. With spring and summer here this presentation is perfect for those who want to plan walks to enjoy with their family, friends and loved ones. This is sure to be one of Mosaic’s most popular events over the next couple of months to be sure to contact us today to register for it. Overcoming Overwhelmed: What Everyone Downsizing or Settling an estate Should Know

On Tuesday April 11th, 2017 Mosaic welcomes Heather Gordon, Downsizing and Estate Services Consultant at Gordon’s Estate Services to give a talk on downsizing and estate settlement. This is the perfect event for those who want to learn about the challenges and the solutions to estate settlement and downsizing to help relieve stress on the situation.

Blood Pressure & Informational Clinic at The Shops on Steeles & 404

Drop by our Community Resource Centre at The Shops on Steeles & 404 on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 for a free blood pressure & informational clinic with Mosaic staff. Mosaic will have a nurse on had to offer the community a free blood pressure check which includes a handy blood pressure booklet for you to record your results. After having your blood pressure checked come inside our Resource Centre to browse our many resources and enjoy light refreshments courtesy of Mosaic.

Tea Tasting with Mosaic & David’s Tea

Tea lovers unite! On Friday, May 5th, 2017 Mosaic welcomes David’s Tea to host a tea tasting for the community. Taste a selection of pre-brewed teas courtesy of David’s Tea, learn different methods of steeping loose tea at home and discover the health benefits of different ingredients. This is the perfect event for tea lovers and those that want to learn about tea!

Safe-Tea & Falls Prevention with Bedford Medical

Bedford Medical Alert stops by both of Mosaic’s Community Resource Centres this May to talk about safety, fall prevention and how to get help fast. Bedford Medical Alert drops by our Markham Office on Thursday, May 11th, 2017 before stopping by our Toronto Office at Tuesday May 16th, 2017 to share tips to stay safe and to avoid falls.

SMC Versatile group stops by Mosaic on Friday, May 26th, 2017 to talk about accessibility and safety for seniors. Learn what services and aides are available to help keep you living at home longer. SMC will be talking about aging in place, bathroom accessibility and safety, and funding options that are available for seniors.

Celebrate with Mosaic: Seniors’ Month & Canada’s 150th Celebration

This year Mosaic’s Seniors’ Month celebration is extra special! Join Mosaic on Friday, June 23rd, 2017 as we celebrate Seniors Month along with Canada’s 150th birthday! Mosaic will be hosting a celebration at The Shops on Steeles & 404 that will include music, guest speakers, community information and a light lunch. Returning Events: First Link Memory Café

Our First Link Memory Café with the Alzheimer’s Society of York Region returns on Tuesday, April 25th and Tuesday May 30th, 2017 before taking a break during the summer. This event is for individuals who want to learn about memory related issues like Alzheimer ’s disease and other dementias. This memory café allows individuals to share their stories and socialize with others without any stigmas. Being active physically, socially, and mentally is good for our brain!

Returning Events: Mosaic Pole Walking Groups

Mosaic welcomes back our Pole Walking Groups at both our locations this spring and summer! Get moving with us over the spring and the summer as we host two Pole Walking Groups at both of our locations. On the third Friday of the month on April 21st, May 19th and June 16th, Mosaic Pole Walking Group will meet at our Markham Office. In July and August the group will be meeting every Friday. At our Toronto Office Mosaic’s Pole Walking group will be meeting every Thursday from July until October. Be sure to contact Kevin at kevin@mosaichomecare.com to learn more about both of Mosaic’s Pole Walking Groups this summer!
